Trapped penis is commonly caused by excessive removal of the preputial and shaft skin during radical circumcision. Another cause of trapped penis is trauma with severe scarring and adhesions. Physical examination can confirm that normal penile erectile bodies are trapped by lacking of shaft skin. This condition can cause functional, esthetic and psychological problems. Surgical options vary from simple penile release with removal of scar tissue to complete reconstruction of penile wrap using pedicled scrotal flap and free skin grafts. At the end of the surgical procedure penis must be completely released and stretched.
